Acting Out!: Acting for everyone
Wednesdays 3:30pm-5:00pm
Grades 4-5, 6-7, 8-12
Instructor: Anthony Martinez
Tuition: $175
A six-week, once a week, class for young actors of all levels of experience to explore their dramatic and comedic acting skills through acting exercises, scene study, and monologue work. Delve deep into your characters and learn to unlock interesting choices, mine emotional depth, and strengthen onstage connection with your fellow actors to make your acting come alive.
Improv and Theatre Games
Thursdays 3:30pm-4:30pm
Grades 4-5, 6-7
Instructor: Anthony Martinez
Tuition: $150
A six-week, once a week, class that unleashes the creative spirit through fun theatre games. Utilizing improvisation games and exercises, participants will explore their creativity and unlock their imagination, giving them confidence in the moment. Great for both beginners and experienced young actors that want to be quicker on their feet, make more creative choices, and just have a blast!
Home School Theatre: Superhero Edition
Fridays 2:00pm-3:30pm
Grades 4-5, 6-7, 8-12
Instructor: Anthony Martinez
Tuition: $175
Let's put on a show! A six-week, once a week, 90 min course for homeschoolers (and others with flexible mid day availability) to collaboratively create, rehearse, and present a performance for public presentation. Work with YAS Education Director Anthony Martinez to work on a superhero-themed short play that will be performed for friends and family on the mainstage of the beautiful California Theatre on the final day. Can you really put on a play only getting together once a week for six weeks? You bet we can! Come be part of a team to put together something truly unique and special!
